Welcome to THP Deer School, where you'll learn everything we know about hunting whitetail deer. This course is designed to help increase your success in the woods. There are many obstacles in the way when it comes to harvesting whitetails on public land. We hope this course will lower those barriers and address some of the major questions you have about hunting whitetails on public land. We've created a course with 10 chapters ranging from "planning your hunt", to "field care and processing". We'll provide detailed instructions on every phase of your hunt.

Each state we have traveled to and hunted presents different challenges. When deciding which state to hunt, or how to approach a state you have never hunted before, there are a lot of questions you may ask yourself. We aimed to answer those questions in this section of Deer School. As we travel to new states we will add summaries to this section of deer school.
In this section we'll dive into situational tactics. Up to this point in the course, we've discussed various tips and tactics used from a general standpoint. Now we're getting into the high level stuff where we discuss tactics for specific situations. These are constantly changing and require the hunter to make decisions in the moment which often lead to success or failure. The beauty of whitetail hunting is every situation is unique. There can be similarities or trends in effective tactics but when we began focusing on adapting to situations, our success increased almost overnight. We'll break down specific hunts and go into detail on how we find these areas and get opportunities at bucks. Our plan is to update these each season with new breakdowns. If you follow our YouTube channel, you've likely seen some of these hunts. This is a NEW take on each of them. We'll come at the hunts from start to finish discussing all the details involved with every decision made. There is a ton of information in every video so it may be useful to take some notes and look for ways you can use these tactics in your current hunting situation.
